A Dessert Worth Applauding!

The Proposal (Part one):

Late one evening, Rob blurted out " let's go to Vegas and get married". My reply: Are you serious? His reply was: Do you want me to be serious? My answer: Do you want me to be serious? His reply: Hypothetically, if I were being serious..... My reply: hypothetically, I would marry you..... His reply: Let's do Elvis in a Vegas chapel. My reply: No way! I want have a real wedding when I marry. His reply: I do too....Hypothetically.

Later that evening, Rob asked me is what we discussed earlier meant that we were engaged???? I answered by asking him if he wanted it to be engaged to me? (we went back and forth for about an an hour, about what we wanted ....) We finally decided that we were really engaged and ......

Rob bought me a ring a couple of days later at Amos department store, in the lobby , from a bubble gum machine, I wore that ring as if it was the most valuable ring in the world!!!!

The Proposal (part two):

On Thursday, August 19, 1999 Rob said he made plans to take close friend to dinner on Friday, August 20, 1999 and asked me to join him, I of course said yes. [Rob left for work on Friday morning as usual and I even talked to him during the day but little did I know that he had taken the day off and went ring shopping.] Later that evening he went to pick up our guest and meet me at home so I had time to get ready after a long day at work. When they arrived we talked for a while and then went to Jilllian's to have dinner.

After dinner our guest, asked to be excused, a short of time I asked Rob to check on him. [Little did I know that they had made arrangements earlier in the day with the restaurant manger and and staff to coordinate the events that were about to unfold] Our guest, Chris Howard and Rob returned to the table a short time later. They ordered desert and I declined. [while the Rob and Chris were away from the table they met with the manager and the waitress to plan the following]. When desert arrived the waitress placed a beautiful cheesecake in front of Chris and a HUGE piece of chocolate cake in front of Rob, and a beautifully decorated desert plate [even though I did not order anything] with Chocolate and sliced fanned strawberries and a ring box with a gold bow in the middle, in front of me, before I had a chance to realize what was happening, Robert opened the ring box, took out the ring and proposed )(See "his story). I OF COURSE SAID "YES".. I cried. All the patrons dinning that evening knew what was goes to happen thanks to the stall at Jillian's at Franklin Mills Mall, and as soon as I said "Yes" the entire restaurant stood up and applauded. It was the one of the most memorable of evenings!
